ContraCode only supports Thunderbird and K-9 Mail. Using ContraCode Mail with another mail application is generally possible, but we cannot provide support in case you run into issues.

IMAP? POP3?
IMAP and POP3 are two different protocols to read your mail.
IMAP keeps devices synchronised. If you read or delete mail on one system, they will also be marked as read or removed on your other devices. This makes IMAP very useful for a modern, multi-device society, and we recommend it for most users.
POP3 does not support any synchronisation, and is therefore less useful for many users. We only recommend POP3 to users who have specific demands which are not supported by IMAP.
